What Comes After the Collapse of Mental Health Care?

Read the full article on Medium:

We’re not waiting for the system to evolve.

We’re watching it quietly unravel.

The current mental health paradigm — built on standardisation, diagnosis, and crisis containment — isn’t holding. And deep down, more and more people are starting to feel it.

What’s coming next won’t be another framework.

It won’t be a rebrand of what already isn’t working.

It’ll be something alive — something relational, real, and rooted in presence.

This isn’t about burning down services.

It’s about naming what no longer fits, and making space for what does.

What comes next will look and feel different:

  • Care that’s led by truth, not templates

  • Leadership that’s relational, not performative

  • Systems that don’t shrink us into categories, but meet us as whole humans

  • Lived experience not just included, but trusted

The next paradigm won’t be announced.

It’ll arrive through us — through presence, resonance, and the refusal to perform what no longer feels true.
